This is individual assignment under Human Factors and Ergonomics for the second year student in the Bachelor of Science with Honors (Cognitive Sciences) from the Faculty Science Cognitive and Human Development, UNIMAS. The purpose of this assignment is to allow the student to explore more about interface and it is for student to understand the reasons of the successes and failures of interface. Besides, the purpose of the assignment is also to discuss on how the design of the interface influence the interaction as well as how it can effects the overall user experience. For this assignment, I had chosen DSLR camera which is Canon EOS 1100D for the interface. The reason why I choose this interface is because of the DSLR camera itself consist of many control button that the beginners may be difficult to use it and the other reason is because I love to snap picture and shoot some videos but I do not know on how to use DSLR camera so by choosing this interface I could learn more about it. Furthermore, I can practice and understand more in using a Norman’s Interaction Diagram where I could know on how users would go about doing the task on the DSLR camera. Along this assignment, there are 4 components that must be discussed which are the user, tool, task and environment. For the user, there must be about the user characteristic. For the tool, it should have the determination on the category of display and control. For the task component, it should have the identification of the task required to perform the interface. For the environment part, it should describe more about the environment that interface is located in.
